Join artist-activists for their insights on this critical moment of pandemic and protest along with original collaborative performances. Hosted by violinist, composer and Roth Distinguished Visiting Scholar Daniel Bernard Roumain, this compelling series features multidisciplinary artist-activists who have broken stereotypes and made history. Guest artists will discuss their experiences and the evolution of their work during this convergence of global health and social crises. Inspired by their conversation, Daniel and guests will create and share short performances together. In this episode, Daniel speaks with acclaimed dance-maker and arts leader Tiffany Rea-Fisher. The artists will premiere their new collaboration 8'46", a dance and music piece they created in response to the 8 minutes and 46 seconds during which George Floyd's neck was crushed. Audience members are encouraged to submit their questions in the live chat.
