Matthew J. Woodbury joins DRM
Burlington, VT: Attorney Matthew J. Woodbury has joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. Matt began work with DRM’s Business Law Group in Burlington, Vermont on July 7.
Matt Woodbury comes to DRM as Of Counsel after having worked in Boston, Massachusetts. In his previous role, Matt advised developers of, and investors in, complex multi-party commercial real estate transactions financed with low-income housing tax credits; new markets tax credits; historic tax credits; energy credits; and various state tax credits programs, from the planning and letter-of-intent stages to investor exit and project resyndication. In addition, in a prior role, Matt gave tax advice on a wide range of domestic and international business transactions, including public company acquisitions; general business transactions and business sales; intra-family asset transfers; and transactions involving tax-exempt organizations, with a focus on taxation of closely held businesses and individuals subject to tax in multiple jurisdictions.

Focusing primarily on tax matters, Matt Woodbury will assist clients with everything from business formations to large stock and asset transactions. Matt is a former AmeriCorps volunteer and a graduate of Harvard Law School.
