    Simon Pearce, a leader in the design and manufacture of handcrafted glass and pottery has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, dynamic Human Resources Director to join our team in Windsor, Vermont.

    Position Summary:

    At Simon Pearce, the Human Resources Director provides leadership for a diverse, multi-shift hospitality, manufacturing, and retail organization with approximately 300 employees. Our employees are primarily at three facilities in Vermont and Western Maryland as well as other retail locations and remote employees. The Human Resources Director provides guidance and direction for recruitment, performance management, career development, policy development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. Additionally, the Human Resources Director oversees a three-person department including benefits, payroll, plus talent acquisition and retention. Further, the position oversees management of contracts and vendors for training, compensation & payroll, benefits, and Human Resources-related legal advice. The position is key in supporting the company's culture and values by developing effective strategies to propel growth in collaboration with the leadership team, managers, and employees.

    What you bring to the team:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related area

    • 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources

    • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred

    • Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits, recruiting, and operations

    • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and practices

    • Excellent computer skills

    • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills

    • Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments

    • Superior oral and written communication

    • Evidence of practice a high level of confidentiality

    • Strong passion for and genuine commitment to people
