    Youth Residential Counselor

    Summary of Job Responsibilities:

    Residential counselors provide afternoon to evening care and supervision, working with residents through daily programming such as adventure, art, community service, life skills, and taking care of our own animals including sheep, steer, and chickens.

    Medication administration as needed.

    Maintain campus organization, cleanliness, and our supportive environment.

    Complete regular documentation and assigned shift reports.

    Shift Schedule:

    • Wednesday 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM
    • Thursday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
    • Friday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
    • Saturday 8:00 AM - 10:30 PM

    Minimum Qualifications: Meet ONE of these education or training requirements:

    An Associate Degree or higher degree with at least 12 credits in the field of human services, psychology, therapeutic recreation, education, or related field.

    Or the equivalent of 2 years of full-time experience working with children.

    Or any combination of credits in human services & experience with children that totals 2 years.

    Or 7 years of parenting experience.

    Other Requirements (you must meet these for employment):

    • Valid driver's license.
    • At least 21 years of age.
    • Satisfactory completion of background and applicable pre-employment checks.
