Upper Valley Business Alliance Foundation

Mission: The Upper Valley Business Alliance Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, serves to support and create resources for workforce, economic development, cultural, and community betterment initiatives in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont.

In 2022, the Upper Valley Business Alliance Foundation (UVBAF) was launched to serve as a nonprofit arm of the Upper Valley Business Alliance to focus resources on solving workforce and economic development issues facing our region. Tax ID# 87-3497466.

Why a foundation?
UVBA is a mission-driven organization dedicated to working on the issues facing our communities. However, our tax designation of a 501c6 nonprofit organization precludes us from applying for many grant opportunities as well as being able to provide a tax deduction for donations. We felt that having a 501c3 foundation would enable us to go after more opportunities and resources that would build our capacity in helping our communities.
What will the foundation focus on?
The UVBAF will look for opportunities to attract funding and resources for furthering community projects as well as UVBA’s program initiatives, including the MedTech Collaborative, the Upper Valley BIPOC Network, and the Upper Valley Arts Alliance as well as areas such as entrepreneurship and community development.
